The last day of Tour de Corse took one more driver to get a "Super Rally" penalty and we have 12 crews who finished without it. This is the new anti-record this season. Participants from 13 nations didn't expected that Corsica rally will be this hard. After 5th event of Open RBR-LT WRC 2019 we have one more nation to win a rally.

Before this event Tomek Wach decided to jump from his R5 "Škoda Fabia" to much more powerful "Citroën C3 WRC" and took a win from a first try. Pole had a really safe lead after two days and was in no need of risk, so he turned down his tempo a little bit and brought a first victory for Poland. This victory should also bring Tomek a 1st place in overall standings. Meanwhile Alex Karkach also didn't do anything stupid and secured his 2nd place by losing to Tomek 1min. 53.63sec. And fastest "non-Citroën" was Juan Marzoa with "VW Polo R" in 3rd place. Spaniard lost almost 3min. to Tomek but was very happy about the result,- "Very good race for me, happy... Thanks organizers!!". This trio was closest to rally leader, all other participants were left behind over 6min and more. All this safe runs by the rally leaders was a gift for unlucky Anton Kochetkov who won both stages of the last day including "Power Stage". Russian Rocket also managed to melt 34 seconds gap from Elijus Paplauskas and despite having 15 minutes of "Super Rally" penalty pushed out Elijus from 10th place. In total Anton managed to squeeze 6 points but unfortunately this could be not enough even for saving a 2nd place in overall standings.

These two stages of the last day wasn't able to change positions of the WRC 2 leaders too. SS13 has been won by Jyrki Niemela, who managed to climb from 8th position to 7h. But the last stage win belonged to Kirill Kolomiets who fastened his lead and won by more than a 3min. against Tomasz Rajewski in 2nd place and massive 14min. against Jonaitis Jonis in 3rd place. "A little bit push here, but not too much to secure 1st place in WRC 2. Glad to finish a rally and do it on 1st place! Thanks for a rally!!!",- spoke Kirill after finish.

Oscar Estevez was again fabulous and crushed his nearest opponent in WRC 3 classification by more than 5 minutes. Even more Oscar clinched this season record of highest 2WD car finish in overall classification. 5th place in overall is what finally made Oscar happy,- "Finish Rally!! Perfect for me. I hope finish top 5. Thanks and see you in Argentina!". Maciej Zawisza finished 2nd and lost 5min. for Oscar. 3rd place is taken by Remus Diaconescu who have 5min. penalty of "Super Rally" and 10min. gap from Oscar.

Congratulations for Tomek Wach with amazing drive in a new car and all participants for finishind this hard rally. With having a new Open RBR-LT WRC 2019 championship leader we are moving back to gravel. See You all in Rally Argentina!
