All Info

Over fifty Open RBR-LT WRC participants decided to take a part in legendary Barum Czech Rally Zlín. This was a very good test and opportunity to grab some additional points before Rally Deutschland. After winning Rally di Roma Capitale and skipping Rally Finland, Oscar Estevez won another ERC event in Czech Republic this time with Toyota Yaris WRC.

First two stages were won by Metusz Przyslakowski but from the third stage Oscar started to run away really fast and stable. Already in SS3 Portuguese driver manage to win with 20 sec advantage over Mateusz and by winning all the rest five stages Oscar finished 1st with 54.65sec advantage. While Mateusz left 2nd, Libor Tomecek took 3rd place with almost a 2 minutes gap from rally winner.

Krzysiek Sliż who had finished just in PZM Rally Poland showed a really good pace in Zlín and won the WRC 3 classification. Krzysiek won 5 stages out of 8 and build a 45.96 sec victory lead over Tomasz Rajewski. Tomasz also drives same Ford Fiesta R5 and his shape before Rally Deutschland is promising a lot. 3rd place were taken by another Polish driver Artur Jaros with Hyundai i20 R5, he lost almost 4 minutes for Krzysiek.

It was zero competition for Spaniard Miguel Lopez in 2WD front. Miguel was 5th in overall classification after SS5 but the next one was fatal for him. The next guys behind were two Polish drivers who are fighting between all the season. In this one Mariusz Domanus and Mirek Woronecki also were battling for seconds. Before last stage Mirek Woronecki was just 1.38sec behind Mariusz but he made a expensive mistake in final stage and had to satisfy with 4th place. His 2nd place were taken by Miguel Portugal with same Peugeot 208 R2 as Mariusz. Portuguese driver lost just 10.18 sec to Pole while 3rd place winner Milan Reznicek lost over 3 minutes.

Battles in each category starts to get more and more intense as everybody finds with whom to fight. This hard but more of training type event in Czech Republic showed that we gonna see a really tough fight in Germany stages!
