All Info

Second leg started with a disaster that struck Arnas Kerbelys. Leader after first leg, caught a tiny rock in a ditch that destroyed Arnas engine sump and Lithuanian had to retire from the battle letting his native Mantvydas Rallys takeover his mission to bring a trophy to Lithuania! But it wasn't an easy day for Mantvydas, he struggled with a low grip like all other every day and had some bad moments. His closets rival Mateusz Przyszlakowski also didn't go without mistakes so in the end Mantvydas managed to keep his leader position, but Mateusz is behind with just 20 seconds gap. And one of the fastest R5 guys Kirill Kolomiets managed to climb to 3rd position after being just 9th on first leg. Last fours stages will be very intense for both Mantvydas and Mateusz. Should be a nice fight.

WRC 2 was where the things mixed quite hard. Being 2nd and very close to Jyrki after first leg Jan Gais makes a big mistake in a very first stage and becomes a spectator of the fight for 1st place. Then Kirill Kolomiets wins first two stages and starts to attack Jyrki, but makes a mistake in SS14 and gives Finn a lead of over one minute. That looked like a gift for Jyrki and he definitely could lower his tempo, but in the next stage he comes to fast in one of the hairpins and his Ford Fiesta R5 is dead. So the next stages is won by Kirill and Ukranian leads the group by 18.39 seconds over Jan Gais who drove fast after his mistake in SS11. Paulius Butmanas climbed to 3rd position after Aleksandr Romanenko crash and later on Jyrki retirement.

Remus Diaconescu kept his steady driving and after his closest opponent Maciej Zawisza retirement Romanian has over 3 minutes of advantage and a very calm last day. Second place belongs to Maciej Mynarski and 3rd is Milan Reznicek. So WRC 3 leader Mazciej Zawisza probably will finish 7th in Wales and second place holder Mariusz Domanus is 5th now with 20 seconds from 4th place. So this is a good chance for Mariusz to make the championship gap less than 30 points.

Last day traditionally brings 4 more special stages and big intrigue for the first place. 20 seconds separates overall and WRC 2 leaders. Last kilometers should be a lot of fun and fight.
