Due to cancellation of Rally Australia, last event of Open RBR-LT WRC 2019 season will be Rally Hungary. Interestingly an ERC event will decide the last champions of WRC championship. Despite Rally Hungary is just as long as half of WRC event it could be the hardest 8th stages in this season. Weather in Hungary is even worse than it was few weeks ago in Belgium at Rallye du Condroz. Soaking wet tarmac roads full of dirt could end every drivers race really soon.
Rally Hungary is already started and will be held till 18th of November. Participants will have to fight in 8th special stages divided in two half's with one service of 60 minutes. Total distant of stages makes little bit more than 60 kilometers.
Mateusz Przyzlakowski was the fastest one in yesterdays Shakedown session. Maciej Zawisza chose to test his abilities of driving WRC car as he already secured his WRC 3 tittle. And the first ride went really well for Maciej, he was second fastest in the same Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC as Mateusz's. WRC 2 star Kirill Kolomiets set the 3rd fastest time, Ukranian will have a serious fight with Jyrki Niemela for WRC 2 title.
As this season was so long and exhausting, we definitely won't end it like that with canceled event. Our crew is planing to make an Open RBR-LT WRC 2019 season party event with some interesting details and surprises. More info soon!
